NU Peace Center conducts campaign of books and chapter notes collection for students.

The campaign entitled “Give one book and take one: Let’s publicize Peace through reading!” continued for 3 consecutive days.

This event was planned and executed by the members of NU Youth Peace Club, in which 4462 books and chapter notes were collected and distributed among the students.

The inauguration ceremony of the campaign was attended by Chancellor of Nangarhar University Professor Emeritus Dr. Khalil Ahmad Behsoodwal, Vice Chancellor for Students Affairs Assistant Professor Sayed Akram Hashimi, Coordinator of NU Peace Center Assistant Professor Naeem Jan Sarwary, Youth Peace Club Focal Point Junior Lecturer Ahmad Jamil Popalzai, students from various faculties, and the members of NU Peace Center.

Chancellor Professor Emeritus Dr. Khalil Ahmad Behsoodwal specially thanked NU Peace Center for conducting such a beneficial campaign. He regarded the event as a promotion of reading and great assistance to the needy students.

The Officials of NU Peace Center regarded the purpose of the event to be the promotion of thinking for reading and taking care of books. In addition, they also called it a better way of helping out the needy students.

Similarly, Vice Chancellor for Students Affairs Assistant Professor Sayed Akram Hashimi expressed gratitude about the accomplishments of NU Peace Center. He regarded each and every activity of NU Peace Center to be a great initiative towards the betterment of the university. He urged the Officials of NU Peace Center to design similar beneficial programs and activities even more so that the community; especially maximum students should get benefited from them.

Coordinator of NU Peace Center Assistant Professor Naeem Jan Sarwary regarded the purpose of the event to be the promotion of thinking for reading and taking care of books. In addition, he also called it a better way of helping out the needy students. He also proclaimed that NU Peace center would plan some more such beneficial programs for the university soon. In addition, he thanked and appreciated the members of NU Youth Peace Club members whose efforts made possible the implementation and planning of such great programs.

The students of Nangarhar University really liked the 3 day campaign and thanked the leadership and members of NU Peace Center and they asked for some more such beneficial programs.
