Nangarhar University celebrates National Flag Day.
The leadership of Nangarhar University, professors, students, and administrative staff marked Asad 7 as the National Flag Day with some rituals.
In this connection, NU Peace Center initiated a gathering at Nangarhar University. It was attended by the Chancellor of Nangarhar University Professor Emeritus Dr. Khalil Ahmad Behsoodwal, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammad Hamid Kadwal, Vice Chancellor for Students Affairs Assistant Professor Sayed Akram Hashimi, Vice Chancellor for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Hameedullah Ahmadzai, the Head of Nangarhar University Alumni Association Engineer Khan Mohammad Dost, deans of various faculties, professors, administrative staff, and students.
Chancellor of Nangarhar University Professor Emeritus Dr. Khalil Ahmad Behsoodwal congratulated all the participant for the National Flag Day and he threw some light on the importance and background of national flags. He regarded the national flag as the symbol of national identity, national values, and unity. He urged all the countrymen to respect and honor the flag as their national responsibility.
The Dean of Languages and Literature Faculty Senior Lecturer Mohammad Arif Hazim talked about the importance of national flag in the light of Islamic Sharia. He also made historical references on the role of flag in Islamic History.
The event concluded with sincere prayers for a peaceful and advanced Afghanistan.
