Chancellor of Nangarhar University Professor Emeritus Dr. Khalil Ahmad Behsoodwal leads Academic Council.

Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammad Hamid Kadwal, Vice Chancellor for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Deans of faculties, Professors, the Director of Professors Affairs, and the Director of Quality Assurance Unit participated in the meeting. Academic Promotion, Appointment, rank approval, and some other issues of Nangarhar and other affiliated universities were discussed and decisions were made about them.

The meeting was formally started with opening speech of Chancellor of Nangarhar University Professor Emeritus Dr. Khalil Ahmad Behsoodwal. He shared the activities and achievements of Chancellor’s Office with the members of the Academic Council. Chancellor Behsoodwal said, “The inauguration of Nangarhar University Alumni Association, completion and inauguration of Economics Faculty building, along with delegation from the capital the estimation and resuming the remaining construction works of Sharia and Political Science Faculties, launching the Website of the star of Pashto Literature Late Qiamuddin Khadim, the commemoration of Environment Protection Day in collaboration with Provincial Government,  HEMIS Training program for the executive managers of Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman, and Nooristan Universities, and OBE-SCL Training workshop for the instructors of Spinghar Institute of Higher Education; are the activities of the past month”.

Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammad Hamid Kadwal, Vice Chancellor for Students Affairs Associate Professor Sayed Akram Hashimi, Vice Chancellor for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Masood Perozi forwarded some recommendations regarding the implementation of HEMIS, equipping the labs of faculties, and some other academic issues.

In the second part of the meeting, decisions were made about 8 academic promotions, 1 confirmation of rank, 15 cases of hiring and firing, relaunching the evening shift of Pashto Department at Education Faculty, recording of Medical and Agriculture Faculties online courses, the letter from Ministry of Higher Education regarding extension of quarantine time and teaching affairs, appointment of contract instructors at some faculties, and some other miscellaneous issues.
