Monument of famous Ghazi Mirzaman Khan is built at Nangarhar University Gate.

According to officials, the purpose of the monument is to familiarize the young generation with country’s history and proud past.

Chancellor of Nangarhar University Professor Emeritus Dr. Khalil Ahmad Behsoodwal, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Assistant Professor Sayed Akram Hashemi, the representative of Zamani Foundation Mr. Mohibullah Israr and some university professors attended the foundation ceremony.

Chancellor Behsoodwal said at the beginning of the event, " Ghazi Mirzaman Khan, the famous freedom fighter and hero Ghazi Mirzaman Khan, was involved in winning back the independence and freedom of his beloved country from the English. He is Serkhel Ghazi, who bravely sacrificed a great deal in winning the country's full independence and played a decisive role in this regard". He added, " According to the resolution of the academic seminar on Atal Ghazi Mirzaman Khan at Nangarhar University, a monument was to be built. With the efforts of the External Affairs Committee of Nangarhar University and with the financial support of Zamani Foundation this monument will soon be erected in the front gate of Nangarhar University, which aims to remember Ghazi's career and familiarize the young generation with his deedful history and proud past".

Mr. Mohibullah Israr, the representative of the Zamani Foundation said, " The monument will be built at the gate of Nangarhar University with the financial support of Mustafa Zamani, the Head and founder of the Zamani Foundation. In addition, lawn, channels and other parts will be constructed next to the monument on the nearby gate in the next month".
