Associate Professor Ali Jan Adil, son of Mr. Muhammad Hashim, graduated from the Department of Mathematics and Physics, Faculty of Education, Nangarhar University, in 2007. In 2008, he was appointed as a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Physics at the Faculty of Education, Sheikh Zayed University.

Mr. Adil obtained his Master’s degree in Physics from Jamia Millia Islamia University in 2012, and he rejoined the department. In 2014, he was elected as the head of the mathematics and physics department at the Faculty of Education, Sheikh Zayed University.

In 2016, he was appointed as the Chancellor of Paktika University, a position he held until 2020. In the same year, he was appointed as director of the Academic Program Development Directorate at the Ministry of Higher Education.

In 2021, he joined Nangarhar University as a lecturer in the Department of Basic Sciences, Faculty of Medicine. In 2024, he was appointed director of the Quality Assurance Directorate at Nangarhar University. In 2025, he assumed the position of Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science at Nangarhar University.

Associate Professor Badam Niazi, son of Gul Jan, was born on January 17, 1980 in Nangarhar, Afghanistan. He completed his secondary education at Najmul Madaris High School. After graduating from high school, he was admitted to the Faculty of Computer Science in 2001.

Mr. Niazi earned his Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) degree with honors from Nangarhar University in 2001. He later pursued higher education and obtained his Master’s degree from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan, in 2015.

For the past 13 years, Mr. Niazi has been serving as an instructor at Nangarhar University, where he teaches courses in Web Designing and Information Systems. Throughout his academic career, he has actively participated in numerous seminars, workshops, and research conferences both within Afghanistan and internationally, contributing to academic development and knowledge exchange in the field of computer science.

Assistant Professor Zargai Habibi, son of Mohammad Jan, was born on May 13, 1988, in Nangarhar, Afghanistan. He completed his secondary education at Shaheed Mohammad Arif High School. After graduating from high school, he was admitted to the Faculty of Computer Science at Nangarhar University in 2007.

Mr. Habibi earned his Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) degree with honors from Nangarhar University in 2011. He later pursued higher education and completed his Master’s degree at Osmania University, Hyderabad, India, in 2016.

For the past eight years, Mr. Habibi has been serving as an instructor at Nangarhar University, where he teaches Advanced Database and Database Administration courses. Throughout his academic career, he has actively participated in numerous academic seminars, workshops, and research conferences both in Afghanistan and internationally.

Teaching Assistant Sakhawat Momand, son of Associate Professor Janat Mir Momand (b. 1991), is a lecturer in the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Computer Science at Nangarhar University. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) from the Faculty of Computer Science, Nangarhar University, in 2015.

He later obtained his Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2019, with a specialization in Cryptography and Network Security.

Mr. Momand’s academic interests include programming languages, data communications, and computer networks. As a researcher and educator, he is dedicated to advancing knowledge in the field of information technology while fostering students’ analytical and technical skills. His work focuses on integrating theoretical concepts with practical applications to contribute to the development of secure and efficient computing systems.

Teaching Assistant Jamilurahman Faizi, son of Haji Asker Khan Faizi, was born on April 4, 1987, in Nangarhar, Afghanistan. He obtained his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Nangarhar University, Afghanistan, in 2011. In 2016, he completed his Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India.

Currently, Mr. Faizi is a Ph.D. scholar in the Department of Computer Engineering at Aligarh Muslim University, India. Since 2013, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor at Nangarhar University in the Faculty of Computer Science.

During his academic career, he has taught various subjects, including Fundamentals of Computer Programming, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Data Structures and Algorithm Analysis, C#, Fundamentals of Information Technology, Fundamentals of Software Engineering, Advanced Software Engineering, Computer Architecture, and Computer Networks.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Faizi has held several academic leadership positions, including Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Head of the Information Technology Department, Head of the Research Committee, and Member of the University Research Committee.

Mr. Faizi has a strong research background with numerous publications in his field. He has supervised many students in research, development, and networking projects. His research interests include Software Engineering, Programming Languages, Soft Computing, and Data Mining.

Teaching Assistant Kamran Khan Shinwari is originally from Shinwar District of Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan. He holds a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Computer Science from South Asian University and possesses a strong academic foundation in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

His research interests lie in the fields of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and data-driven intelligent systems. He has developed practical expertise in implementing advanced artificial intelligence techniques using the Python programming language, along with modern machine learning frameworks. His academic work includes research on text analysis and classification using deep learning models, contributing to the expanding domain of intelligent data processing.

Driven by a commitment to innovation, Mr. Shinwari is dedicated to advancing knowledge in artificial intelligence and applying computational approaches to address real-world challenges. His work emphasizes the integration of machine learning algorithms with practical applications, aiming to develop impactful and scalable solutions.

In addition to his research endeavors, Mr. Shinwari is actively engaged in teaching and mentoring students in computer science and related disciplines. He is committed to cultivating analytical thinking, technical proficiency, and creativity among his students. His teaching focuses on contemporary computing technologies, programming, and artificial intelligence, equipping students with the skills needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Through his combined efforts in teaching, research, and academic service, Kamran Khan Shinwari continues to contribute to the advancement of computer science education and the growth of artificial intelligence research in Afghanistan.

Teaching Assistant Sameer Khaliqi, son of Professor Zalmay, was born in Jalalabad, Nangarhar, Afghanistan, and traces his roots to the Koz Kunar district of Nangarhar Province. He completed his secondary education at Nangarhar High School in Jalalabad, where he demonstrated a strong academic foundation that later shaped his career in higher education.

In 2016, he was awarded Pakistan’s prestigious Allama Iqbal Government Scholarship, enabling him to pursue a Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) at COMSATS University Islamabad. He graduated in 2020, having gained a solid grounding in core areas of computer science and modern technologies.

Following his graduation, Sameer Khaliqi began his academic career as a visiting lecturer in the Faculty of Computer Science at Nangarhar University. In this role, he taught a wide range of core computer science subjects and contributed to the academic development of undergraduate students. In 2023, he was appointed as a permanent lecturer in the Department of Information Technology and currently holds the academic rank of Teaching Assistant. In 2026, he further advanced into academic leadership with his appointment as Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science at Nangarhar University.

Coming from a family with strong academic ties—his mother serving in the Faculty of Medicine and his father in the Engineering Faculty of Nangarhar University—Sameer Khaliqi continues this scholarly tradition through his dedication to teaching, academic leadership, and institutional development.

Teaching Assistant Riaz Ahmad Wissal, son of Hadi Mohammad, was born on June 13, 2001, in Nangarhar, Afghanistan. He completed his primary and secondary education at Chardhi High School in Nangarhar. After graduating from high school, he was admitted to the Faculty of Computer Science at Nangarhar University in 2016.

Mr. Wissal earned his Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) degree with honors from Nangarhar University in 2020. For the past year, he has been serving as a lecturer at Nangarhar University, where he teaches courses related to Data Science and Databases.

Throughout his academic career, Mr. Wissal has actively participated in numerous national and international academic seminars, workshops, and research conferences held in Afghanistan, contributing to his professional and academic development.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Wissal has held several administrative positions. He served as the Acting Head of the Information Systems Department from 2022 to 2023. Subsequently, from 2023 until the end of 2025, he served as the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science at Nangarhar University.

Teaching Assistant Azizurrahman Rohani, son of Ahmad Shah, was born in 1998 in Khogyani District, Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan. He completed his secondary education at Khogyani Agricultural High School in 2017.

In 2018, he was admitted to the Faculty of Computer Science at Nangarhar University, Department of Information Systems, where he successfully completed his bachelor’s degree in 2022.

In 2024, Mr. Rohani was appointed as a Teaching Assistant in his field of specialization. During his academic career, he has contributed to teaching several courses, including Web Design, Web Programming, Fundamentals of Computers, Fundamentals of Networking, Fundamentals of Programming, and Script Programming.

Teaching Assistant Abdul Baseer Ahmadi is a computer science professional specializing in software engineering, with a strong academic foundation and a commitment to advancing the field through innovation and practical application. He began his early education at Al Shabbir International Education High School in Peshawar, where he completed his primary studies, and continued his secondary education at Farabi Degree College.

He pursued his undergraduate studies at Nangarhar University, Faculty of Computer Science, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering. During this time, he developed a solid understanding of software development, algorithms, data structures, and system design, building the technical foundation for his future career.

To further enhance his expertise, Abdul Baseer Ahmadi completed a Master’s degree in Computer Science at Hazara University, Department of Information Technology, in Mansehra, Pakistan. His graduate studies focused on advanced IT concepts, software solutions, and emerging technologies, equipping him with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

With a strong academic background and a dedication to continuous professional growth, Abdul Baseer Ahmadi is committed to contributing to the field of software engineering and information technology. His work emphasizes innovative solutions, research, and the development of practical applications aimed at addressing real-world challenges.

Teaching Assistant Hamad Hasrat, son of Abdul Rahman, was born on August 7, 1993 in Rodat District, Nangarhar, Afghanistan. He completed his high school education at Shahabuddin Ghori High School in Pakistan.

After graduating from high school, he was admitted to the Faculty of Computer Science at Nangarhar University in 2020. Mr. Hasrat obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (BCS) with honors from Nangarhar University.

He served as a lecturer in the Information Systems Department, Faculty of Computer Science, at Jahan University for two years. He has recently joined the Information Systems Department, Faculty of Computer Science, at Nangarhar University, where he teaches programming and database-related subjects.

Throughout his academic and professional career, Mr. Hasrat has actively participated in numerous academic seminars, workshops, and research conferences at both national and international levels in Afghanistan, contributing to his professional and academic development.

Teaching Assistant Samander Shinwari, son of Abdul Karim Shinwari, is from Haska Mena District of Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan. He completed his secondary education at Mia Omar High School, where he laid the foundation for his academic and professional journey in computer science.

In 2019, he moved to India to pursue higher education in the field of Computer Science. He enrolled in a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science program, graduating successfully in 2022. Building on this achievement, he continued his studies at Savitribai Phule Pune University, where he completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science in 2024, further strengthening his expertise in advanced computing concepts.

Following his postgraduate studies, Samander Shinwari gained professional experience as a Web Developer at Flymingo Tech in Pune, India. In this role, he developed practical skills in web development and contributed to real-world software projects, enhancing his technical proficiency.

In 2025, he returned to Afghanistan and joined the Faculty of Computer Science at Nangarhar University as a Lecturer. In this capacity, he is actively engaged in teaching and mentoring students, contributing to the academic development of future computer science professionals.

Samander Shinwari also holds certifications and demonstrates strong knowledge in AWS Cloud Computing, Database Management Systems, and networking technologies, including CCNA and CCNP. He is multilingual, with fluency in English, Pashto, Dari, and Hindi, enabling him to operate effectively in diverse academic and professional environments.

Mr. Sabawoon Ahmadi, son of Sher Ali Amarkhil, serves as the Academic Director of the Computer Science Faculty. He was born in 1990 in Amarkhil village, Sorkhod District, Nangarhar Province.

Mr. Ahmadi completed his secondary education at Amarkhil High School in 2008, graduating with distinction. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Economics in 2013. He further advanced his academic qualifications by obtaining a master’s degree in Administration and Business in 2023 from the Faculty of Economics at Nangarhar University.

With a solid academic foundation and a strong commitment to higher education, Mr. Ahmadi plays a significant role in enhancing academic quality and contributing to the growth and development of the Computer Science Faculty.

Mr. Ikramulhaq Hashemi, son of Ghulam Nabi, serves as the Computer Lab Manager at the Computer Science Faculty. He was born in 1992 in Chardeh village, Batikot District, Nangarhar Province.

Mr. Hashemi completed his secondary education at Amarkhil High School in 2016. In the same year, he earned his bachelor’s degree from the Computer Science Faculty of Nangarhar University.

With his academic background in computer science and practical experience in laboratory management, Mr. Hashemi plays an important role in supporting the faculty’s technical infrastructure and facilitating a productive learning environment for students.
