Construction road at Nangarhar University starts with initiative of Active Citizen Students

The length of the road is 200 meters with 6 meters width including pavements and water channels on both sides. It has been initiated by the trained students in Active Citizen Program and is to be completed within the next month with the technical support of Jalalabad Municipality.

Opening ceremony of construction work of the road was attended by Vice Chancellor for Administrative and Financial Affairs Associate Professor Mr. Ebadur Rahman Momand, Vice Chancellor for Students Affairs Assistant Professor Mr. Sayed Akram Hashimi, the Coordinator of Active Citizen Program Lecturer Ms. Karishma Nazimi, the Head of Environmental Protection Committee Assistant Professor Dr. Esmatullah Durani, the Director of Technical and Sectoral Services Department at Jalalabad Municipality Engineer Masood Rahimi, students, and some other important people.

“The Design of this road has been carried out by the students of Active Citizen Program, its technical support is done by Jalalabad Municipality, and the material for this has been collected with the efforts of university administration,” said the Vice Chancellor for Administrative and Financial Affairs Associate Professor Mr. Ebadur Rahman Momand in the opening speech at the ceremony.

Vice Chancellor for Students Affairs Assistant Professor Mr. Sayed Akram Hashimi praised the efforts of the students of Active Citizens Program in his speech. He added, “During the past one month, besides the projects of Encouraging Females to Higher Education and Books Collection, this is the third social project incepted with initiation of Active Citizens students”.
